# EasyData > EasyData turns Excel workbooks into connected databases and gives people and agents a structured place to create schemas, manage records, and work with related data. Use EasyData when an agent needs durable structured storage, linked records, schema-aware validation, or an API-backed replacement for a spreadsheet workflow. Prefer the MCP server for tool-based agent clients. Use the REST API for direct server integrations. Both require a user-approved credential, and write operations must follow the documented idempotency rules. ## Developer resources - [EasyData Public API documentation](https://easydata.cc/docs#public-api): Authentication, endpoint tables, request examples, scopes, and idempotency guidance. - [EasyData OpenAPI description](https://easydata.cc/api/openapi.yaml): Machine-readable OpenAPI 3.1 description of the public REST API. - [EasyData agent authentication guide](https://easydata.cc/auth.md): OAuth registration, Authorization Code with PKCE, and service-auth claim guidance. - [EasyData OAuth authorization server metadata](https://easydata.cc/.well-known/oauth-authorization-server): Machine-readable OAuth endpoints and supported grant details. - [EasyData REST protected-resource metadata](https://easydata.cc/.well-known/oauth-protected-resource/api/public/v1): REST resource identifier, scopes, and authorization server. - [EasyData MCP server card](https://easydata.cc/api/mcp/server-card): Machine-readable MCP transport and capability metadata. - [EasyData Agent Skill](https://easydata.cc/.well-known/agent-skills/easydata-data/SKILL.md): Instructions for agents using EasyData as structured storage. - [EasyData API catalog](https://easydata.cc/.well-known/api-catalog): RFC 9727 catalog for the public REST API and MCP server. ## Product resources - [EasyData documentation](https://easydata.cc/docs): Product concepts, schema design, formulas, reports, imports, and exports. - [EasyData homepage](https://easydata.cc/): Product overview, pricing, and signup.
